I HAVE A CUSTOMER WHO WANTS EITHER A WOOD PELLET BOILER OR A WOOD GASIFICATION BOILER FITTED. I AM NOT SURE OF THE GRANT SITUATION AND IF THERE IS A LARGER GRANT FOR THE PELLET MODEL DUE TO IT'S CARBON ADVANTAGES, CAN ANYONE HELP?

I MAY ALSO HAVE TO LINK SOLAR TO THE SELECTED SYSTEM, IS THERE A SEPERATE GRANT FOR THAT?

Grants are available for both solar and biomass heating via the Low Carbon Building Programme.

But this only provides grants for approved products installed by an approved installer.

    sorry wrong link

As I see it the "grants" are self funding -- so you pay way over the odds so they can you a grant ( this is great for HMG as it costs them nothing )

    There were once proper grants

The Green Deal starts in October 2012 which may cover some of the services you need.

You cannot do the work yourself as all Green Deal installers need to be PAS 2030 approved.

Green Deal info here :- http://www.greendeal-dorset.org.uk/
