I am building a low energy house in southern Spain. It will be timber frame, hermetically sealed, no thermal bridges, with an HRV and e-coated double glazing. I am now researching and pricing the insulation material for the exterior walls. I would like to dispose on the brick altogether. I have heard that cork is a great insulator and I believe it may be available locally. Can anyone comment on this and / or advise me on what material to use and how to cost it?
