Housing - Renovation: Renovation insurance

    Does renovation insurance become invalid if you move in. We have moved in but are still a couple of months away from being signed off and a Completion Certificate. However Council Tax are charging us already.

    I expect you need to read your specific policy. In any case you will certainly need to tell the insurer that you have moved in, so ask them or the broker what your situation is.

    It's normal for the council to start charging - you are using their services.
