    This building is approaching 250 years old and I reckon it still has the original windows but they could easily last another 100 years

    Are you sure they aren't really 5 years old but just look old and knackered?
    I wonder how they got them to last so long.

    Having to window-vacuum all those 3x3s every morning would be *SO* annoying.
    My wife's insistence on keeping the inside at 23 degrees would make for a LOT of condensation!

    Lead paint is a pretty good preservative :bigsmile:
