    Thought it was both insightful and pleasantly upbeat.

    We have a 5MW gas heat and power plant about 400m from our house I never even new existed!

    It's surprising how things change, and quicker than the public are aware of (including me) - I assume (and it feels) that this report is broadly accurate.

    The presentation has an impressive interactive element to it - which is unusual in that it aids understanding.

    It does however look like it will still be a challenge to increase electrical output to support the migration to electric for transport, heating, and DHW.

    That's where drastic demand reduction should come in, but is getting far less attention, because even more difficult.

    Thanks for the link. I especially liked the interactive nature of the report. Amazed at the number of solar farms near where we live! It would be good if this could be updated year on year - would provide a really interesting historical record for future students to use.

    Demand per person looks to have fallen by has fallen by about 20% since peak.

    Long way to go but demand is falling - at least until electric cars go mainstream.
