I've not yet listened to it, but this week's 'Costing The Earth' seems likely to have something of interest for Forum members?

I listened to it while driving, so miss bits of it.
The first 20 minutes seemed to be about cramming more people into cities and towns.
Transport was mentioned a lot, but transport is changing very rapidly.
I may give it another listen too after the Shipping Forecast.

Just listened to it all and the only bit of real sense I took away from it was Helen Williams from Empty Homes.
Who would have thought that the low end housing problem was 'up north'. I quite liked the Wildlife Trust bloke too. Build sensibly on Green Belt.
That NIMBY with the allotments is the worse type of person in my opinion. All she wanted to do was keep her lifestyle unchanged, regardless of the cost to others. Just got to look at the picture to see how awful an allotment is.
Right at the very beginning, there was a woman called Sue Riddlestone, she has still got that idea that burning biomass is a good thing. There is a reason that her idea of sustainable housing has failed.
