    Wood fires are to be banned in the French Capital from January 1 to tackle pollution.

    More than Paris, a whole department.
    I had heard something about this a year or two back. Surprised they got it though.
    Wonder when the tractors and trailers full of logs will be blockading the roads :bigsmile:

    Outside of Paris, they're banning only open fires, according to the article. Perhaps like the smoke control orders here. Stoves sound like they're still permitted.
    Inside Paris it's a surprise that they still allowed open fires. 13.5k fireplaces doesn't sound a lot though for a city the size of Paris.
    I bet the President will continue with his fires as per the photo!
