Greg Barker DECC on BBC Newsnight last night trying to defend the 'greenest government ever'.

Starts about 22 minutes in http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b015yr4p

Thought he made a fair fist of it, given the reality of our economic situation.

And Caroline Lucas batting on about the "hundreds of thousands of jobs in the green economy"! She going to wave her magic green wand then?

You can employ a lot of chaps and chapesses insulating 7 million solid-brick walled houses (or knocking them down and building better ones).

So that must be why the last labour government cut all funding to 'skills' courses then and opened up the 'free market' though rigged trade associations to price products and people out of the marketplace.

£5million for a Wave Hub that is sitting idle on the sea floor in the Green Peninsular, what is all that about. Could have fitted 500 new houses with ASHP in that region. Oh hang on, we have not built 500 new houses down here in Penwith.

Want to get things done, put the price of gas, oil, electricity up until it really hurts rather than offer incentives of low carbon technologies. It is fast and effective.
