This sounds sooo green, and far nicer than feathers and synthetic fillings!

Could be one and the same?

What's a duvet? Seriously, we gave up on those ages ago and went back to blankets - aren't they made of wool? We sleep much better under them - something to do with the weight, and if we wake up too hot, we just peel one off. I think we should bring back blankets and make those from local wool instead.

Each to their own. I have a duvet with a handstitched wool-filled traditional quilt on top. They were frequently made with an old blanket as wadding.

I also have a lovely old blanket which was made from the wool from a farm in Westmorland; it used to be the case that a household would collect its own wool and send it off to be woven. These were prized possessions.

Give me (half price John Lewis) goose down duvets EVERY night - don't have my own geese but it is at least possible. Trust me once used never given up:wink:

I did once have one. I didn't like it.

I think the geese can keep their own down.
