Anyone who was following this discussion: http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/newforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=17321 will know that I'm looking into the feasibility of getting a home battery that could coexist with my Solar Edge inverter and Eddi diverter plus SunAmp setup.

Lo and behold Myenergi, who make the Eddi have just announced their 'Libbi' modular battery which looks like it might ease my concerns over compatibility and doubling up on diverters/inverters.

No word yet on costs but if anyone else has Myenergi devices (e.g. Zappi), it might be of interest:

I think that if youre using a libbi with a Solaredge inverter youll need to have it AC coupled so youll have 2 inverters.

The libbi info says it can replace an existing PV inverter but with an SE system using optimisers that may not work as the optimisers have to be connected to an SE inverter to work. I beleive you can disable the need to be connected to an SE inverter within the optimisers but you probably need to confirm that with Solaredge tech support and get Myenergi to confirm that would work.

@philedge thanks for the input. I guess that's something for further down the line.

Still no cost info, but someone on the myenergi forum has posted the following about the battery spec:

"Its a rebranded Kstar ESS Hybrid Battery / Solar Invertor and Batteries covered in MyEnergi Source with MyEnergi Interface and Controller.

As it's a UK company maybe the 3680 version for G98 complience. Or both 3.6 and 5.0kw versions"
