    Hi everyone,

I'm finishing my man-shed plans and I'd quite like some basic lighting. Too difficult to run a power cable to it so my query is, can anyone:
    Recommend an off-the-shelf lighting kit with PV panels, battery, compatible lighting;
Pass on any experience if this setup might also extend to a socket for a radio or battery charger?

I'm not a fan of playing with electricity so the less intervention that's required on my behalf the better. Roof will be broadly S-facing at least...

    Thanks,
    Jamie

Bumpy. Is this in the right place?

Not sure if they do off-the-shelf kits, but Wind and Sun (Steve Wade - http://www.windandsun.co.uk/) can probably put together a kit for you.

sorry if the above is in French (it is...)

You might be able to fix an English web-search to it ?

Look through yachty magazines, they use wind powered kit to keep their batteries charged, but they do have some wind, do you? I would stick with solar, the angle of your shed roof is likely to be far too low for for efficient use as a solar collector.

Here's one from eBay probably more if you search a little.

Can't say if it is any good or not.

I have a solar powered led pir floodlight which I bought in Lidl which works very well but probably a little bit too bright for inside the shed! :-)

No knowledge of these other than what's on the web page but you could consider one from each of these:

Thanks for the other links the four of you - I will see how we get on. No roof at present and the snow over the weekend didn't get a lot more done!
  3.
Actually looking at my Lidl spotlight again, if you were to put a diffuser in front of the leds it would probably work just fine as an internal lamp.

Thanks Crispy - it is just a shed so a flood light would probably do me just fine!

Point it up, and paint the "ceiling" wight.
