I have a memory that there was a case recently where a developer won a judgment over a local authority over an SPD on insulation standards (?) that they could not be forced to provide better than Part L, but I can't find any reference to it on the web, despite wading through archives on this and other sites. Is my memory playing me up or has anyone else had the same illusion?

It sounds like a good idea to me to have better insulation standards than Part L !

Found it myself... in the Association for the Conservation of Energy newsletter
It wasn't a court case but a judgment by the government Inspector.
