    Does anyone know what is involved?

    Lime Technology claim it can be sprayed.

    I'll ask them but the complexity is, that this would be for a building in Central Portugal, and it is relatively unlikely that they would be supplying materials.

    I can't see why it can't be sprayed. The important things will be to use the right equipment (suitably chunky mixer/pump and nozzles designed for the mix) and to use an appropriate mix. So find somebody who's done it before, or at least sprayed a variety of renders or concretes and shows a spark of interest. I'll ask my plasterer whether he knows of anybody in Portugal.

    It's mildly complex ; ) A hempcrete spraying set-up consosts of a slurry line and a hemp feed that mix at the point of exit, at the hose end, as you spray it. The slurry is running off a regular pan mixer and the hemp is in a special hopper. Compressed air delivers the hemp and kind of swirls it around at the exit point so the slurry & hemp mix just before they hit the shuttering.

    I've been involved in large jobs using both and I'd only bother with placed hemp in future. Sprayed hemp isn't quicker, as the prep required is extensive, plus there is a lot of waste.

    That said, there is only one contractor do8ng Lime Tech's spray installations and you could find him quite easily by googling & speak to him direct - he has experience in many binders not just Tradical, & has worked in Europe.
