Trying to attach a .xls spreadsheet should it be possible?? Tried twice and got "error starting discussion" type message. In meantime if anyone's interested let me have you email and I'll send it.

I've put together a SAP-ish spreadsheet, I'd love to know if it's too simplistic, faulty or actually a bit useful. I wanted to be able to play around and quickly look at the impact (financial and carbon) of different choices for our new house, 2G v. 3G, insulation values, window sizes etc. etc. Feel free to download and add your own data.

I'd be REALLY grateful for your comments, and if a similar spreadsheet already exists I'd love to know about that. I've looked at the Kingspan website one but I want to be able to play around a lot more and see the results immediately.

    thanks

I had the same problem a while ago. I managed it - just about - by turning it into a Zip file which apparently compresses it a bit. I think it has to be less than 500Kb even so, as when I tried a second time with a slightly larger file it wouldn't have it.

Hope that is some help. (Me offering advice on computers - Ha!)

I've just started a new discussion with a link to the spreadsheet http://www.handymandy.co.uk/house/sappish.xls
so anyone can get it off the internet. It's only 35k but still won't attach to a discussion!
