    What material do we use for our new water mains supply pipe? Needs to be 32 mm.

    Just the usual blue plastic pipe commonly known as MDPE or blue Alkathene. Every merchant will have it and it is usually in rolls of 25m or 50mm. Very cheap so no point in trying to buy cut lengths.

    Why 32mm? Usually 25mm for a house.

    I got some spare in my loft from when I put the shower in. I think it is 25mm. Came from Wickes, cost about 15 quid.

    I would add that if you want a mains pressure system (which I highly recommend, others disagree), then go for the 32mm.
