The Somerfield store in Chandlers Ford is selling Philips 11W (~60W) standard bayonet fitting CFLs, 4 for 20p.

I have just removed all CFL's from my house as they are a poor light source, contain nasties such as murcury and no recycling has been apparent for their disposal. I await a decent replacement for the incandecent light bulb.

I would only consider using CFL's if I had a need for a light to be left on for extended hours in say a hallway for communial access where light quality did not matter.

I can save more money per year by simple draught proofing and reducing temps by one degree!.
